Virginia L. Erbe

Virginia L. Erbe, 89, of Hanover, MD, passed away peacefully on January 3rd, 2024, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born in Baltimore City, Maryland, to Horace and Hattie Mudd. Virginia was one of ten daughters, and she was preceded in death by her sisters Evelyn Grim, Marie Arnold, Louise Curry, Helen Richards, Dorothy Mudd, Shirley Mudd, and Agnes Blevins. She is survived by her sisters Delores Trew and Gloria Scranton.

Virginia was the devoted wife of Bruce Erbe Sr., with whom she shared 72 years of a beautiful and enduring marriage. She is also survived by her sons Bruce Erbe Jr. and Brent Erbe, along with Brent's wife Patty Erbe. Virginia found immense joy in her family and leaves behind a legacy that spans generations. She was predeceased by her son Jeff Erbe.

A loving and caring grandmother, Virginia is remembered fondly by her 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart. She cherished family gatherings and moments of togetherness, creating lasting memories that will be cherished for years to come.

Virginia had a passion for fashion, home decorating, and the arts and crafts. Her creative spirit illuminated her surroundings, leaving a mark of elegance and warmth that will be remembered by all who knew her. Her love for life and dedication to her family were evident in every detail of her home.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at the MacNabb Funeral Home, P.A., located at 301 Frederick Road Catonsville, Maryland 21228, on Wednesday, January 10th, 2024. Visitation hours will be held from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, followed by a funeral service beginning promptly at 7:00 pm.

The interment will be private. The family extends their gratitude for the condolences and support during this difficult time. Virginia L. Erbe's legacy of love, warmth, and creativity will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in eternal peace.
