Susan Anderson

Susan Lynn Anderson, 50, of Odenton, Maryland passed away on April 4, 2021 after a long battle with depression. Susan was born in Columbus, Ohio on January 16, 1971. She graduated from Bayshore High School and continued on with her education to receive a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of South Florida. Susan worked in the Training and Development of Instructional Design industry, most recently with Mosaic Learning. She had a great love of music and enjoyed singing, as well as playing piano and guitar. She also adored all animals, fostering cats until finding them homes, even adopting some herself. Susan is survived by her sister, Kim Funk of Colorado Springs, Colorado, brothers, Steve Anderson of Tampa, Florida and Stan Anderson of Chesterfield, Missouri, her son, Mitchell Baber of Jefferson City, Tennessee, her daughter, Alex VanAlstine of Catonsville, Maryland, nephews, Chris Funk of Terre Haute, Indiana and Tyler Funk of Indianapolis, Indiana. She is preceded in death by her parents, Troy and Jo Anderson of Sarasota, Florida and brother Tom Anderson of Hobe Sound, Florida. At Susan’s request, no funeral services will be held. Memorial donations may be made to The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
