Loving son of Frank and Iva McElroy. Dear brother of Larry, Lorna, Dinah and the late Paul, Vivan, and Warren. In addition, Rodney is survived by many nieces, and nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews that he adored. Rodney also loved his "bonus" family, which included his enduring relationship with Pam Harris. He was a father figure to Rachel Spinoso and Poppy to Mason and Reagan Spinoso.
Rodney loved his family, friends, traveling (especially to the Caribbean islands), the beach, cars, all genres of music, concerts and the finer things in life. He especially loved spending time with his nieces and nephews playing jokes and always making them laugh. Rodney would always light up a room with his funny sense of humor. He will be dearly missed by all who loved him.
A memorial celebration will be held on Saturday, November 23rd at Evergreen Memorial Gardens located at 2800 Old Westminster Pike, Finksburg , MD. Visitation will begin at 11:30am with a small service at noon.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Michael J Fox Parkinson's Foundation.
