Rita Virginia Manelli

Rita Palumbo-Manelli, 87, of Catonsville passed away on March 5th surrounded by family at St. Agnes Hospital. Visitation will be Sunday, March 8th at MacNabb Funeral Home from 2pm-4pm and 6pm- 8pm. A service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, March 9th at MacNabb Home, P.A. with Father Pascal of St. Benedicts Church officiating. Rita was born in Baltimore to Joe and Catherine Palumbo on September 27, 1932. She married Bernard Manelli on January 14, 1968 in Baltimore. Rita and Bernard worked together at The House of Worsted Textiles for 3 years and owned a business together, Manelli's Restaurant, in Catonsville for 34 years. Rita is survived by her husband of 52 years, Bernard Manelli, her children; Gary Manelli, Cristina and Charles Gruss, and Caterina W. Manelli, her sisterhood; Mary Bondura, Ronnie and Jack Crowe, Toni and Ron Decker, and Mary Katherine Bondura, her bothers; Eugene Palumbo, Casper and Liz Palumbo, and Vincent Palumbo, and her grandchildren; Maria Manelli, Rebecca Manelli, Alex Gruss, Julia Walsh, Dominic Gruss, and Olivia Walsh. The family of Rita Manelli wished to extend our sincere thanks to the doctors and nurses of St. Agnes Hospital.
