Margaret “Peggy” Emm (nee) Quigley, 90 of Parkville Maryland, passed away peacefully of natural causes on June 19, 2023. In death, she is re-united with her beloved husband of 60 years Joseph N. Emm. Born April 20, 1933, Peggy had 7 siblings in which she was the last survivor. Peggy attended Towson High School and graduated in 1951. She is survived by one daughter Jo Ann Swartz (Mark Freeman) & five sons Tom (Dina), Steve (Clare), Rick (Diane), Michael (Madeline), and Carl (Julie) as well as 13 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren & many loving nieces & nephews.
After raising her children, Peggy earned an Associate’s Degree from the Community College of Baltimore County, Essex. She found employment at newly built Edenwald Retirement Community. Within a year, she was promoted to Marketing Director. As Edenwald became filled and not wanting to transfer out of state, Peggy became a successful Real Estate Agent for Long & Foster and Re/Max. A devout Catholic, Peggy was very active in her local church, St. Isaac Jogues. She also loved reading almost any self-help or political book, playing Bridge, and traveling.
Family and friends will honor Peggy’s life with a service scheduled for July 22nd at 10:30 AM at St. Isaac’s Jogues. A celebration of life shall be held after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Peggy's name to your favorite charity.
