Nancy Jean Buswell, born Frye on June 7, 1952, in Frederick, Maryland, left this world peacefully in her home on March 12, 2025. She was a beacon of love and light, and her passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who knew her.
Nancy cherished her role as a mother, grandmother, and friend. She is survived by her loving daughters, Elizabeth Fisher and Shawna Keiser, along with their devoted husbands, Sean Fisher and Sid Keiser. She is also survived by her loving son Matthew Buswell and his wife Anna. Nancy’s heart swelled with pride for her grandchildren: Madison Kotch, Makenzie Fisher, Alexis Buswell, and her grandson, Marcus Geoffrey Buswell. Each of them carried a piece of her spirit, and she brimmed with joy at the thought of the futures they would create.
In her lifetime, Nancy formed enduring friendships that enriched her years. Her best friend, Lisa Mckenna, stood by her side through thick and thin, sharing laughter, tears, and countless cherished memories. Their bond was a testament to the strength and beauty of friendship—a rare gift that Nancy valued immensely.
Nancy’s journey in life was shaped by the love of her family. She was the beloved daughter of Mildred Frye and Robert Lewis Frye Sr. She shared special moments and lifelong bonds with her siblings, including her late brothers, Robert Lewis Frye Jr. and Paul Larry Frye, as well as her dear sister, Betty Nelson. Those who preceded her in death are remembered for their love and support, which helped shape the person Nancy became.
Throughout her years, Nancy touched many lives with her warmth and kindness. She had an innate ability to uplift others, offering support and encouragement effortlessly. Nancy's legacy lives on through the love she imparted, and the many lives she influenced.
