Michelle Irene Vermillion

On Wednesday, April 14th, 2021, Michelle Irene Vermillion, loving wife and mother of four, was called home to her Heavenly Father at age 54 after a long battle with diabetes and its complications. Michelle was born on May 26, 1966 to Margaret Murray and Charles Surwilo Sr. She studied and was licensed in Cosmetology in 1989 , which was one of her proudest achievements. Michelle and husband Robert Vermillion Jr. were married on May 21, 1994. She was also a beloved mother to her four children, Catherine, Tyler, Ryan and Alexis. Michelle held many jobs over the years, but her true passion was Cosmetology, particularly hair. She was the go to stylist for many in her family and she used that to really spend quality one on one time with her many loved ones. Through many career changes, she would always maintain her license. Michelle was a very creative and crafty person, anything you could find, she could (and did) make. She gifted her love of creativity to her children in many ways. Michelle was preceded in death by her father Charles and mother Margaret, as well as her beloved in-laws Robert Sr. and Carol Vermillion and her brother Chucky. She is survived by her loving husband Robert Vermillion Jr., her children Catherine Monaghan, Tyler Tharle, Ryan and Alexis Vermillion, and her sister Helen May Vankirk. Michelle was a woman of deep faith and a beacon of light in every life she touched. The family will be having a private Memorial on Saturday, April 24, 2021, but will be providing a live stream via Michelle's Facebook from 12 Noon to 1 pm for extended family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Diabetes Association in Michelle's memory.
