On August 11, 2024, Michael Savino Jr passed away at the age of 91. Michael was predeceased by his parents, Josephine and Michael Savino Sr, his siblings, Rose Quick, Paul Savino, Joe Savino, Grace DiCarlo, and Tony Savino, and his dear wife of almost 65 years, Charlotte Savino (nee Knight). Michael will be greatly missed by his children Michele Evans and husband Robert, David Savino, and Craig Savino, his grandchildren Carrie, Tyler, Stephanie, and Amanda, great-grandchildren Reese, Spencer, and Quinn Charlotte, and his many nieces and nephews. Michael was a veteran of the Korean War, a long-time amateur radio operator (KA3BRL), and served for over 40 years in the Baltimore City Fire Department. In his retirement, he enjoyed being an attentive Pop to his grandchildren, caring for his pets, and tinkering with tools and electronics.
Michael and Charlotte supported many charities throughout their life together. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donating in Michael’s honor to the charity of your choice.
The family will hold a private celebration of life with interment at Baltimore National Cemetery.
