Mark Sunderland Stafford passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2022, in his home at the age of 77 after a brief illness with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife, Peggy (Block) Stafford, his devoted daughters, Jessica Stafford (her husband, Stephen Taglieri) and Kathleen Stafford. He is also survived by his sister, Elizabeth S. Cone and his brother-in-law, Marc L. Ebersberger. He is predeceased by his sister, Ann S. Ebersberger and his parents, Ruth S. and Vincent H. Stafford. Mark was a graduate of Mount St. Joseph’s and University of Baltimore. Shortly after he joined the family-owned furniture business (Stafford Brothers Incorporated) where he later became president. In 2000, he joined Long and Foster and was a residential real estate agent until his retirement in 2017. He was an avid golfer and played actively all his adult life where he was a member of Rolling Road Golf Club and Hobbits Glen. The funeral service will be 10:00 am on Friday, September 16, 2022 at St. Paul’s Church, 3755 St. Paul Street, Ellicott City, Maryland 21043. Interment will immediately follow at Meadowridge Memorial Park, 7250 Washington Boulevard, Elkridge, Maryland 21075.
