Mark Vernon Boyce, born on January 6, 1959, in Baltimore, MD, passed away peacefully, with family by his side, on November 5, 2024, at the age of 65. Mark was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Throughout his life, Mark dedicated himself to his work as a Project Manager, where he was admired for his leadership, integrity, and commitment to excellence. Outside of his professional life, Mark found joy and freedom in motorcycle rides, often exploring the open road with a sense of adventure.
Mark was a devoted member of the Laurel Elks Lodge, where he forged many lasting friendships and contributed to his community with dedication and care. He took great pride in his family, especially celebrating the accomplishments of his daughter as she graduated from nursing school, a milestone that filled his heart with immense pride.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Rose Lloyd (née Sargent), his father, Joshua Lloyd, and his sister, Rosemary Hurtt, who welcomed him into eternal rest.
Mark leaves behind a loving family, including his cherished wife, Lee-Anne Boyce, his daughter, Megan Lowe, and son-in-law, Christian Lowe. He was the proud grandfather of Charlie and Colton Lowe, whose lives he enriched with love and wisdom. Also surviving him are his dear sisters, Glenda Westcott, Karen Sneden, and Susan Pinault, along with numerous friends and extended family who mourn his passing.
A service to honor and celebrate the life of Mark Vernon Boyce will be held on November 23, 2024, at the Laurel Elks Lodge, located at 8261 Brock Bridge Rd, Laurel, MD 20724. Family will begin to welcome guests at 2 PM, with an Elks ceremony to commence promptly at 4 PM. Food and drinks will follow as we gather to remember and share stories of Mark's remarkable life.
His family kindly invites all who knew Mark to join them in remembering a man who was, above all, caring and generous to those around him. Mark’s legacy of love, kindness, and laughter will forever remain in the hearts of those he touched.
