Katherine Ann Rhodes

Katherine Ann Rhodes, 72, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 23, 2023. Katherine was born October 5th, 1950 in Charleston, SC to Wade and Pauline Dukes. She was a beloved member of the community of Summerville, South Carolina, and Baltimore County, Maryland. She was a strong, independent woman with a heart of gold. Everyone that knew her had the upmost respect, love, and admiration for her.

Katherine is survived by her Sons, Raymond Sweat of Summerville SC, Dustin Rhodes (and James Mercer) of Baltimore MD and Daughter, Sherry Mack (Jason) of Williamston SC, two Grandsons, Benjamin (Taylor) and Ty Shivers of Greenville SC and Great Grandson Colby Shivers, her three brothers Ron Dukes (Syble), Raymond Dukes (Jeannie) and Kenny Dukes and several nieces and nephews.

Katherine was twice married and is preceded in death by Raymond Sweat and Danny Rhodes, her Mother, Pauline Jacobs Dukes and Father, Donnie Wade Dukes and brother Sidney Michael Dukes.

Katherine enjoyed the great outdoors, ceramics and crafting. She was passionate about animals. For her entire life, she loved plants and enjoying time with her family and friends. She was employed by the company WAWA for the past 9 years. From her co-workers to customers, everyone thought of her as their mom and their close friend. She was selfless, passionate, and would give you the last 5 dollars in her pocket to help someone in need. She will be dearly missed.
