Jeffrey "Jt" Tyrone Lee

June 2, 1956 — September 29, 2020

Jeffrey “JT” Tyrone Lee, 64, gained his wings on September 29, 2020 following an early morning walk around the community. He was born in Denver, Colorado on June 2, 1956. He was the youngest son and the 7th of the 11 children raised by the late Elroy and Ella Mae (Shepherd) Lee. Jeff “JT” graduated from Williamson High School Class in 1975 where he played basketball and excelled in Art. Following graduation, he moved to Fayetteville, NC where he briefly worked at Fort Bragg and then went on to work for Kelly Springfield Goodyear Tires for over 27 years. During that time, he dominated in the local competitive basketball leagues. His favorite pastime was walking along the lake/ocean, shooting pool, fishing, fishing, and more fishing! He shared this love with his three sons: Mike, Jeffrey Jr (Bug) and Justan. He relocated to Laurel, Maryland in 2010 following a long hospital stay where he resided with his devoted sister Denise until his sudden death. Jeff (JT) is preceded in death by his beloved parents and his precious son, Jeffrey “Bug” Lee, Jr; one brother: the late Robert “Gene” & two sisters: the late Carolyn Louise and Sabrina Charmiz. His memory will be celebrated by his loving sons: Justan Marcus Lee and Michael Antrantrino Lee of Raeford, NC; He also leaves his devoted siblings to mourn: Johnny of Pikeville, KY; Walter of Rochester, NY; Lillian Maggie, Martha Ann, Teresa and Leonard all of Williamson, WV; Cornella of Indianapolis, IN and his sister Denise of Laurel, Maryland. He also leaves to mourn 34 nieces/nephews, 49 great nieces/nephews and 16 great-great nieces/nephews. Jeff “JT” never met a stranger and enjoyed a great conversation. He was a genuine friend and inseparable from his dear friend Larry Hopkins. There were just like brothers. They would walk all over the place and loved going to the lake and hanging out at the senior center. Jeff always enjoyed making you laugh with his quick wit and funny comments. When he smiled you couldn’t help but to smile too! Jeff will always be in our hearts and we will love him forever!
