James Everett Evenson, 84, of Catonsville, MD, died on January 25, 2025. He was born in Mason City, Iowa, in 1940 to Everett and Donita (Watkins) Evenson. He moved at age 6 to Huron, South Dakota where he spent his youth and graduated from South Dakota State University in 1962. He was commissioned a second Lieutenant in Army Artillery at graduation.
James is survived by Elaine, his wife of 58 years, 3 children Erin (Jon), Kara (Allen), and Kirk (Donna), 4 grandchildren Brennan, Gavin, Kaitlyn, and Shane, and his brother Edward (Sue).
A mass of remembrance will be held at Our Lady of the Angels chapel in Charlestown retirement community in Catonsville on Friday, February 21, 2025. Receiving guests at 10:30am and mass at 11:00am. Reception to follow.
