Eudora Amanda Gray was born on June 25th, 1953 to Barbara and Roland Gray at Gallinger Municipal Hospital (D.C. General) in Washington, DC. She was the oldest of four siblings, Celestine, Clarence and Michael. Eudora graduated from Ballou High School in 1971 and went on to become a Telephone Operator for Bell Atlantic for several years. Eudora later went to work for AT&T in customer service. She spent the remainder of her career working for Verizon in customer service and later the 911 database. She retired in 2002. Eudora had a thirst for knowledge and took a cross-section of courses over the years in a variety of subjects from learning sign language and computer classes to weaving and other fiber arts. Eudora loved knitting and crochet as well as sewing and beadwork. In her spare time she enjoyed listening to audiobooks and knitting. She was an avid fan of science fiction; her favorite movie was 1954's "The Day the Earth Stood Still". Eudora passed away at St. Agnes hospital in Baltimore, MD on April 5, 2020. Her brother Clarence and parents Barbara and Roland, preceeded her in death. She leaves behind a daughter Yolanda two siblings, Celestine, and Michael Gray; nephew, Dontrel Gray; and a grandniece Vanessa Gray; and a host of other relatives and friends.
