Edward Clark Rowen

October 22, 1956 — March 15, 2024

The Rowen family would like to inform you that our beloved Edward Clark Rowen passed away on 3/15/2024. For those of us who knew and loved Edward, his passion was for life, family, and his work. Ed had decades of experience designing power supplies spanning a wide range of missions to almost every planet in our solar system, plus some of their respective moons. He worked on things that were literally out of this world. His most recent contributions at John Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratories were the low voltage power supply (LVPS) for the Europa Clipper MISE and EIS instruments, and the LVPS for the Dragonfly mission to Saturn's moon, Titan.

While Ed is no longer with us, the positive impacts he had on his family, friends and the aerospace industry will live on forever. Ed is survived by his wife Van Rowen, his brother Thomas S Rowen, his uncle David Rowen, along with many friends and family.

The funeral will be held at the MacNabb funeral home on Saturday, March 23rd located at 301 Frederick Road, Catonsville, MD 21228.

Visitation will be from 10:00am to 12:00 noon, followed by a brief service.
