Dr. Anthony Paul Lombardi, PHD: A Life Remembered with Love and Compassion

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Dr. Anthony Paul Lombardi, PHD, a dedicated Clinical Psychologist whose life was devoted to the betterment of others. Born on February 9, 1951, and departing from this world on November 13, 2023, Dr. Lombardi leaves behind a legacy of compassion, wisdom, and a profound impact on the lives he touched.

Dr. Lombardi's academic journey was a testament to his commitment to understanding the human mind. He earned his Bachelor's Degree from Towson University, followed by a Masters from Loyola University, and finally, his PHD from American University. His thirst for knowledge was paralleled only by his desire to translate that knowledge into meaningful change for those in need.

Throughout his illustrious career, Dr. Lombardi served the State of Maryland Department of Mental Health and Hygiene as a Clinical Psychologist, offering solace and support to those navigating the complex landscape of mental health. In 2022, he retired from the All Walks of Life Mental Health Care Clinic, leaving behind a lasting impact on inner-city families whose lives he tirelessly worked to improve.

A devoted family man, Dr. Lombardi's heart belonged to his beloved wife Tammy Lombardi, and his previous wife Linda Lombardi. He was a loving father to Christopher Lombardi and his wife Christine, Lauren Lombardi and her husband Ryan Purdum, Matthew Lombardi, Andrew Lombardi and his wife Lauren Lombardi, and Mike Greene and his wife Erica. His role as a cherished grandfather to Chris Lombardi, Angela Lombardi, Chase Lombardi, Colin Purdum, Declan Purdum, and one more on the way, brought him immeasurable joy. Additionally, he proudly held the title of Great Grandfather to two little ones.

Dr. Lombardi's warmth extended to his sister Grace Lombardi and her husband Michael Sisk. He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Michael and Rose Lombardi, and his Maternal grandparents Paul and Grace Muffoletto, and paternal grandparents Anthony and Cecila Lombardi.

Friends and well-wishers are invited to pay their respects on Monday, November 20th, 2023, at the MacNabb Funeral Home, 301 Frederick Road, Catonsville, Maryland 21229, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, November 21st, 2023, at St. Mark's Catholic Church (Chapel), 30 Melvin Avenue, Catonsville, Maryland 21228, beginning promptly at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens, 200 East Padonia Road, Timonium, Maryland 21093.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital 4301 Fairfax Drive Suite 200, Arlington VA 22203 or Bridging Life Hospice (Formerly Carroll Hospice) 292 Stoner Avenue Westminster, Maryland 21157 or a mental health charity of your choice in memory of Dr. Anthony Paul Lombardi, whose life's work was dedicated to bringing light to the shadows of the mind.

Dr. Lombardi's memory will forever be engraved in the hearts of those he touched, and his legacy of love and healing will continue to resonate in the lives he enriched. May he rest in eternal peace.
