Donald "Hump" Richard Short

Donald (Hump) Richard Short, 78, beloved husband of Mary Short for 51 wonderful years and longtime resident of Hamilton and Parkville Maryland, passed away surrounded by his family on Friday, August 9th, 2024.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Short, and his two favorite daughters Jennifer Short and Kellee Almy and their husbands Paul Bordner-Short & Nick Almy. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Taylor and her husband Keenan, Noah and Luma, Karleigh, Cuyler & Coda; and his great grandchildren, Margaret, Prudence, Josephine, Charlotte & Jackson. He was the BEST Husband, Dad, Pop, Pop-Pop and PP anyone could have asked for.

Don dedicated his life to family, friends, and work. He was known to many as a second father, and the guy you would call when you needed help. He was always there unconditionally to everyone he knew.

As Don has requested, there will be a celebration party to celebrate his life at a later date, where friends and family will gather to honor his memory and the immense impact he had on their lives. His legacy of love, friendship, and kindness will forever be remembered by those who had the privilege to know him and be loved by him.
