September 11, 1968 — April 18, 2022

David Carlos Linantud 09/11/1968 - 04/18/22 On Monday, April 18, at 6:35pm, we lost our beloved David Carlos Linantud, b. 9/11/1968 of Catonsville, Md. David leaves behind his adoring family: The yin to his yang, love of his life, Kassy Mattingly; the pibble of his heart, Penny;his devoted mother and biggest fan, Mary E. Linantud; his brother and friend, John L Linantud, and his wife, Asia Kaftan; his sister and friend, K. Laura Linantud, and her husband, Keith Robideau; his punky sister, Jennie Berry, and her husband, Kirk; 11 nieces and nephews (Evalyn, Henryk, Devin, Shannon, Erin, Olivia, Laura, Vincent, Nathan, Jordan, Jessica); predeceased by his father, Crispin C. Linantud . David’s impact to the Catonsville music community is immeasurable. His compassion for animals and his love of nature knew no bounds. The Beatles earned his unwavering loyalty and respect. The Baltimore Ravens and Baltimore Orioles stayed close to his heart (purple, black, and orange prominently featured on baseball caps, tee shirts, and game jerseys every day). David was especially proud to serve as Park Ranger at the Patapsco Valley State Park (PVSP), where he spent countless ‘off hours’ at the ‘office’. His colleagues lovingly referred to him as Ranger Danger. Our hearts are broken. We pledge to live as David did: with music, with compassion, with love. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to BARCS Animal Shelter (barcs.org) or Friends of Patapsco Valley State Park (fpvsp.org). There will be a memorial gathering to celebrate David at the PVSP Hollofield Shelter 301 on the evening of June 3.
