Catherine Ribeau

CATHERINE RIBEAU, daughter of Densel and Grace Edmonds, was born July 2, 1926 in Mc Donald Pennsylvania. She was a beautiful gifted child who showed promise in both singing and athletics. Although she studied music and sang solo in the choir, she found her career early in life when she met Bernard Ribeau, at the tender age of sixteen. They married on April 16, 1945 when he returned from WWII and they migrated to Detroit Michigan to join relatives and embark on a new life. She and Bernard had two children, Jane and Sidney, who along with Bernard, were the focus of her life. Deeply spiritual, early in her marriage she converted to Catholicism and gained strength through her faith and her family. She was a curious, proud and nurturing woman who loved family and friends and never tired giving of herself to others. She believed in the greatness and potential of all people and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She leaves to cherish her memory; Jane, her daughter, Sidney, her son, and her brother Wayne, and a host of relatives and friends. She entered the palace of eternity on November 26, 2021, to be with her heavenly Father, and savior, Jesus Christ and family and friends who have gone before her.
