Benjamin "Bennie" R. Brown

Benjamin R Brown (Ben/Bennie), age 70, of Halethorpe Maryland passed away peacefully in his home on December 8,2022.

Ben was born May 11,1952 at Davis Memorial Hospital in Elkins, West Virginia to Harold and Hallie Brown. It was also Mother’s Day. He graduated Tyghart Valley High school in 1971 where he marched in the marching band as a drum major. Shortly after graduating he moved to Maryland. He retired from Montgomery County in transportation with over 40 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and was an avid gun collector. Most of all he absolutely loved his daughter and grand boys.

He is survived by his only child, Kara Acosta, son in law Richard Acosta and his grandson’s Angelo and Amadeo Acosta of Moore SC, his sister Olive Bradshaw of Hampton VA, sister Jean Harris and brother-in-law Larrell Harris of Lebanon OH, brother Douglas Brown and sister in law Mary Brown of Monrovia, MD, sister Patricia Jenkins of Damascus, MD, and brother Dennis Brown of Gwynn Oak, Md.

In honor of Ben’s wishes, he has chosen to be cremated. And he will come home with his daughter and family.

Ben was loved so much and will be missed by many.
