It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ajmer Singh, who left this world on October 18, 2024, at the age of 69. Ajmer was a man of many talents and deep passions, most notably for his family and his rich cultural heritage.

Ajmer is survived by his loving wife, Gulshan Kaur, who was his lifelong companion and greatest source of joy. Together, they raised a beautiful family. He was a proud and devoted father to his daughter, Opinder Kaur, and his two sons, Balwinder Singh and Perminder Singh. His love for his family had no limits, and he worked tirelessly as both a builder and a cab driver to provide them with a life full of love and opportunity.

In his personal time, Ajmer had a vibrant intellectual curiosity. He loved reading novels, watching documentaries, and was particularly passionate about history, with a special love for Sikh history. His knowledge of the past gave him perspective and purpose, and he took great joy in sharing that with others. Ajmer also had a creative spirit; he enjoyed writing songs and singing, sharing his heart through music and finding beauty in life’s simple moments.

Ajmer Singh's warmth, wisdom, and unwavering dedication to his family and his heritage will forever be cherished by all who knew him. He lived a life full of love, creativity, and service to others, and his legacy will live on through his family and the countless lives he touched.

A service to honor and celebrate Ajmer Singh’s life will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at The Cremation Society of Maryland, Inc., located at 301 Frederick Road, Catonsville, Maryland, 21228. Following the service, a cremation ceremony will be held at 1:00 p.m.
